I graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Cracow. Then I completed my doctoral studies in molecular biology at this faculty. In 2001, I was awarded the title of doctor of medical sciences, defended with distinction for my work entitled "The Degree of the Medical University of Warsaw". "Genetic expression of leukotrien C4 synthase in peripheral blood eosinophils in bronchial asthma patients". 

For my scientific work in this period I received, among others, the Scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science for Young Scientists, the Award of the Prime Minister for my doctoral dissertation and a distinction in the Aurelia Baczko Competition awarded by the Society for the Support and Promotion of Sciences in Warsaw. 

In 2001-2002 I was on a scholarship at the Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia PA, USA. I was the first prize winner of the 22nd annual Dr. Erwin Margulies competition in the field of anticoagulant research at the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center, Temple University of Philadelphia. In 2017, I was awarded the title of PhD in medical science for my thesis entitled "The Degree of the Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences". "The role of selected integrin receptors and their selective inhibitors in the modulation of inflammatory reaction, with particular emphasis on collagen integrin receptors in asthma". 

My medical activity from the time of graduation was connected with the II Department of Internal Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. I am a specialist in internal diseases, allergology and clinical immunology, and my clinical and research interests focus on autoimmune and allergological diseases.

Specialist in internal medicine, angiology and clinical immunology. A graduate of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow and of Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University.

Since 1998 he has been professionally associated with the Second Chair of Internal Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He is a senior assistant in the Clinical Department of Allergy and Immunology of the University Hospital in Cracow, the Second Department of Internal Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College and a lecturer at the Medical School for Foreigners of the Jagiellonian University Medical College.

In his work he deals with patients with immunological and allergic diseases, and is particularly interested in the issues of systemic connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, thrombofil diagnosis and treatment of venous thrombosis/pulmonary thrombosis and the search for causes of obstetric failures.

He is the author and co-author of many publications, scientific reports and guidelines for management (including anticoagulant prophylaxis, thrombotic syndrome and secondary immunodeficiency), including a chapter in the book "Autoimmune Disorders - Current Concepts and Advances from Bedside to Mechanistic Insights", 2011.

He is a member of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine, the Polish Angiological Society and the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
