Interna - so-called queen of medical sciences (latin internus - internal), it is a department of medicine dealing with diseases of internal organs (including diseases of the circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, osteoarticular system, muscular and connective tissue) and is the basis of knowledge and skills for many specialties.

I graduated in 1996 from the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum in Cracow. Then I completed my doctoral studies in molecular biology at this faculty. In 2001, I was awarded the title of doctor of medical sciences, defended with distinction for my work entitled "The Degree of the Medical University of Warsaw". "Genetic expression of leukotrien C4 synthase in peripheral blood eosinophils in bronchial asthma patients". 

For my scientific work in this period I received, among others, the Scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science for Young Scientists, the Award of the Prime Minister for my doctoral dissertation and a distinction in the Aurelia Baczko Competition awarded by the Society for the Support and Promotion of Sciences in Warsaw. 

In 2001-2002 I was on a scholarship at the Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia PA, USA. I was the first prize winner of the 22nd annual Dr. Erwin Margulies competition in the field of anticoagulant research at the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center, Temple University of Philadelphia. In 2017, I was awarded the title of PhD in medical science for my thesis entitled "The Degree of the Medical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences". "The role of selected integrin receptors and their selective inhibitors in the modulation of inflammatory reaction, with particular emphasis on collagen integrin receptors in asthma". 

My medical activity from the time of graduation was connected with the II Department of Internal Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. I am a specialist in internal diseases, allergology and clinical immunology, and my clinical and research interests focus on autoimmune and allergological diseases.

I was born in Krakow in 1979. Here I graduated from the primary school, high school and in 2005 I graduated from the medical faculty of the Jagiellonian University Medical College. During my studies I was a member of the Student Scientific Society at the John Paul II Cracow Specialist Hospital for Heart and Vascular Diseases. At the University Hospital in Krakow I had an internship, after which I decided to become a pulmonologist.

In 2006 I started working at the Pulmonology Department of the District Hospital in Proszowice. I finished specialization in internal diseases in 2012, and in lung diseases 4 years later. The branch of my specialization, which I mainly deal with, and in which I try to constantly develop, is the endoscopy of bronchial tree. I perform bronchoscopy, intrabronchial ultrasonography with the possibility of biopsy of lesions in the chest. In the past I used to be a brachytherapy of lung cancer in the Radiotherapy Department of the St. Luke Hospital in Tarnów, and currently I use my experience in this field in the Amethyst Radiotherapy Centre in Cracow.

In free time: skiing in winter, tennis in summer, horseback riding, cycling and fishing. The book - at any time of the year.

In 2004 I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow. Currently he works at the Clinical Department of Endocrinology Clinic of the University Hospital in Cracow. 

In 2010 I received a doctorate in medical science for my thesis entitled "Expression of markers of proliferation and angiogenesis in pituitary tumors". 

In 2012 I was awarded the title of Internal Medicine Specialist.

My interests include comprehensive internal medicine, with particular emphasis on internal organs diseases, including thyroid diseases (also in pregnant women), pituitary and adrenal glands. He also performs ultrasound diagnostics of the thyroid gland with thin-needle aspiration biopsy of focal lesions.

I have been gaining my professional experience since 2006 at the Clinical Department of Endocrinology Clinic of the University Hospital in Cracow, 17 Kopernika Street, where I deal with diagnostics and treatment of patients with internal diseases, diabetology and endocrinology.

I perform ultrasound and thyroid biopsies in the Department of Endocrinology Clinic.

Since 2010 I have been employed at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Kraków Academy as an academic teacher.

Specialist in internal medicine, angiology and clinical immunology. A graduate of the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow and of Molecular Biology at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology of the Jagiellonian University.

Since 1998 he has been professionally associated with the Second Chair of Internal Medicine at the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He is a senior assistant in the Clinical Department of Allergy and Immunology of the University Hospital in Cracow, the Second Department of Internal Medicine of the Jagiellonian University Medical College and a lecturer at the Medical School for Foreigners of the Jagiellonian University Medical College.

In his work he deals with patients with immunological and allergic diseases, and is particularly interested in the issues of systemic connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, thrombofil diagnosis and treatment of venous thrombosis/pulmonary thrombosis and the search for causes of obstetric failures.

He is the author and co-author of many publications, scientific reports and guidelines for management (including anticoagulant prophylaxis, thrombotic syndrome and secondary immunodeficiency), including a chapter in the book "Autoimmune Disorders - Current Concepts and Advances from Bedside to Mechanistic Insights", 2011.

He is a member of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine, the Polish Angiological Society and the International Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

Jestem lekarzem, klinicystą. Specjalizację z chorób wewnętrznych oraz studia doktoranckie odbyłem w II Katedrze Chorób Wewnętrznych im. Profesora Andrzeja Szczeklika w Krakowie. Przez wiele lat pracowałem w Oddziale Internistycznym a obecnie w Oddziale Angiologii i Kardiologii II Katedry Chorób Wewnętrznych CMUJ. Od samego początku swej pracy szkoliłem się jako kardiolog interwencyjny wykonując koronarografie i angioplastyki w zakresie tętnic wieńcowych. Specjalizację z kardiologii ukończyłem 2013 r. Od ponad 10 lat zajmuje się również nauczaniem przyszłych młodych lekarzy, będąc asystentem Kliniki Angiologii CM Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego.

Moje zainteresowania naukowe dotyczą wyjaśniania roli procesów zapalnych w powstawaniu miażdżycy i zawału serca.
